A true local hero and family business
Kelly Oysters has been growing the highest-quality oysters, mussels and shellfish in the beautiful waters of Galway Bay on Ireland’s West Coast for more than 60 years.
The company’s sustainably farmed oysters grace some of the finest restaurants and hotels in the world. The Kelly family approached us to create an online platform that would showcase the business to markets around the world – from restaurants to shops and consumers.
Our work began by immersing ourselves in the ‘Kelly experience’. To give the company the best web solution possible we researched Kelly’s extensive customer database, to understand why people choose Kelly Oysters over other brands.
At the same time our creative people experienced the company’s farming and harvesting process – to really understand the brand essence of the business and the unique people that are part of the story.
The front-end of the website brings the brand to life beautifully – showing quality and modernity with unique responsiveness. Simplicity and intuitive design invite the user in, making it easy for them to read, interact and engage with the site. Exceptional photography, crafted copy and video takes the user on a fascinating journey – focusing on the singular flavour, quality and freshness of the oysters.
WHAT OUR CLIENTS SAY
Our ecommerce website from actonbv has exceeded all our expectations. From the eye-catching design to the user-friendly interface, it has enhanced our online presence and made shopping a breeze for our customers.
The team at actonbv was responsive, creative, and attentive to our needs throughout the process. We couldn’t have asked for a better partner to bring our vision to life. Thank you for helping us achieve online success!
During the build of the site, the COVID-19 pandemic arrived which changed so much for businesses like Kelly Oysters.
While restaurants and hotels were closed, Kelly wanted their customers to continue to enjoy their products at home – so we developed a back-end e-commerce solution or ‘shop’ so people can purchase online, and this has proved hugely successful.
